Studio XL V2 with add on accessories
This is my main wet palette and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love everything about it. The sponge holds an amazing amount of water, the paper feels amazing and doesn’t tear, the seal keeps my paint usable and my favorite part is the size! I can mix paints to my heart’s content.
As mentioned above these papers or hydration sheets as they are called are amazing. They seem to let the perfect amount of moisture through and are very resistant. I have used papers in the past that tear when mixing paints, these are not that, I can mix paint for days and they still feel like new.
If you are using oils or just prefer a dry palette this is a game changer. The brush just glides on top of it and it makes mixing paints a breeze. It super simple to clean up as well, you can’t go wrong with this.
This is the best cutting mat for miniature painters on the market hands down. It has a lot of features printed onto it designed specifically for our hobby such as: a color wheel, a round and square base checkers, paint consistency recipes and two rulers in inches and centimeters for quick measuring. Can’t recommend it enough.
From all the brushes I have tried these are my favourite. The length of the bristles is ideal for brush control, the belly holds a lot of liquid and the kolinsky hair follows the contour of the miniature perfectly. You won’t be disappointed with these brushes!
These are one my most recommended paints for all skill levels. They are pigment rich, opaque and flow very well. They are not so thick so it’s not too tricky to take them to the right consistency and they airbrush very nicely too!
Amazing synthetic brushes. Monument hobbies worked on their exclusive blend of synthetic fibers to emulate kolinsky bristle properties. For metallics, washes, oils and anything harsh on natural bristles these are my go-to brushes.
Kimera Kolors are professional quality artist paints which are extremely pigment rich, sometimes as much as 50% pigment. Their base set consits of single pigment paints only which means you will get expected results when mixing paints.
These high flow acrylic paints by Golden are a great addition to any painter’s arsenal. They spray through the airbrush beautifully. They do tend to dry a bit glossy so make sure to pick up some matte varnish if you prefer a flat finish.
Golden Heavy Body Acrylics are artist quality acrylics with a high pigment load and bigger tubes than what we normally see in miniature paint brands. They have a thicker consistency but thin out beautifully, same as their high flow counterparts they dry glossy as well.

Airbrush Gear
Badger Patriot 105
This airbrush is a workhorse. It comes with a 0.5mm needle/nozzle allowing you to prime and basecoat without skipping a beat. If your budget allows it get the Extreme version which comes with a 0.3mm needle/nozzle and a few extras.
These quick release adapters allow you to connect and disconnect your airbrush to your hose by simply pulling the coupler down which takes less than a second as opposed to having to screw/unscrew the hose every time. Highly recommended.
This kit comes with many useful tools for general airbrush use and cleaning. Such as an airbrush cleaning pot/stand, a nozzle needle for removing dried paint and brushes for cleaning your airbrush’s internals.
For filming my weapon of choice is a mirrorless DSLR, specifically the Panasonic Lumix G7 (25mm f1.7 lens). This camera fits my needs and allows me to film everything from talking heads to close up shots in crisp quality.
This gimbal is a life saver for any video I film with my mobile phone. It really helps in post since there is basically no shaking on the footage, I can highly recommend this for any one who likes to do moving videos or vlog style footage.
Seriously these are incredible! They are super smooth and quiet and allows me to switch setups from filming to streaming in a breeze. If you have or are planning on getting a microphone be sure to get one of these.
These are the best camera accessory mount I have tried hands down. They make it super simple to attach external monitors, portable led video lights, and pretty much any other threaded camera accessory you can think of.
Awesome all-around microphone. It has four pickup patterns: Flexible cardioid, omni, bidirectional, and stereo which allow you to record in ways that would normally require multiple mics, for vocals, instruments and podcasts. This is an essential part of my gear.
This is an awesome and portable video light! It has a dual power supply design using either 13-17V DC input adapter or battery. It has adjustable temperature from 3200K to 5600K and also adjustable brightness! On top of it all it had up to 95% color rendering index (CRI).
Neewer 2-Piece Bi-color 660 LED Video Light and Stand Kit
These are my workhorse lights. I use these as my key light and fill lights. They are very bright which give me flexibility with my camera settings. If you are in the market for some awesome LED Video Lights, look no further!
